This Is The Season To Be Covering Your Vehicles

Winter is here and your car needs protection. Better yet, why not give the gift of protection to those you love this holiday season. Vehicle covers can be a welcome gift, especially when the snow is piling up outside. For your friend who just purchased a new car, for your granddads 57 Chevy, whatever the case, you can't go wrong protecting their vehicles. Make this holiday a happy one for the ones you love.

Why cover your vehicles? Depending on where you live this winter there are covers to keep your vehicles protected and dry. Winter really is hard on your vehicles, the ice and moisture can damage the finish on your vehicles and if you have a leak then your interior will suffer also. There are several types of covers to chose from, like the one layer covers for using in your garage or when you park your vehicle under a carport. Then there are covers that have more than one layer, like the three and four layer covers for covering your vehicles exterior in the winter weather. The three layer car covers protect your vehicles from the sun, rain, ice and snow. The 4 layer covers can protect you from all the elements and also be very nice to your cars paint job with the extra inside layer of fleece.

How to find the car cover you need. There are several places you can look, for instance auto parts stores, retail stores and more. You may decide to do it the easy way, online using the internet to search out the cover you need. There are many search engines to use, the top are Google, Yahoo. MSN and Bing. These search engines are easy to use and will help you narrow down the sites to make your car cover purchase. Just enter the search phrase to find the type of cover for your vehicle, like car cover, truck cover, SUV cover etc. Be sure you check there shipping, warranty and return policies. You may also want to check to see if there has been any complaints filled against their website.

The holidays are just a few weeks away so now is the time to get your order in and have time to receive and wrap your gift and get it under the tree. When you make your cover purchase you might want to check with the shipping department to see if it will arrive in time for the holidays. The gift of a vehicle cover will be a wonderful thing to do for somebody you love. And every time they use the cover in the mornings and they don't have to scrape their car windows before work, I'm sure they will be thinking of you. That makes a vehicle cover a great gift for the holidays.

Were Back From Ecuador

Hello everybody we are back from Ecuador and have some Videos and Pictures to share with you. We loved the country and have made plans to go back soon. The country of Ecuador is feeling the effects of global warming. This is the rainy season and they haven't had any rain yet. Many of the states to the south in Ecuador are running out of water to make there electricity and they are having to ration the power, in the evenings the power is off till early mornings. The people and animals are suffering from the lack of rain and we hope it will rain soon.

We were going to go to the south and to see more of Ecuador but we just stayed in the Northern Highlands around Cotacachi, Otavalo and Iabarra. There were many reports about the worst drought in 50 years happening in the South of Ecuador. So we just stayed in the North and maybe on our next trip to Ecuador we will visit the South. Even thought we stayed in the North we still had a very good time, there was more then we could visit in one week. So, all in all it was a great time and we plan to go back soon.

Here are some videos from our trip.

Trip To Cotacachi Ecuador

Quito, Ecuador

Hello everybody; my wife Elin and I are heading to Ecuador this coming week and would love to share the trip with you. We will be landing on Sunday, November 8 at 1:44 pm at Mariscal Sucre Intl. airport in Quito Ecuador. This city is set in a valley which sits at an elevation of 9,500 ft. and the mountains around it range from 16,000 to 20,000 ft. in elevation. From there we will rent an SUV and drive North to Otavalo to stay the first night. Otavalo is home of the largest outdoor market place in South America. I'm sure my wife and I will love looking for gifts for our friends and family back home, especially since it's close to the holidays. The people of Ecuador are wonderful, and make all kinds of cloths made from alpaca wool, and we're told the fresh vegetables are the best, you can buy two dozen roses for $2.00, and the cost of travel is very low in their country.

Day 2: We will be going to Cotacachi just north of Otavalo about a 20 minute drive. This is where we will be looking for a place to purchase a home or condo. Elin and I have traveled to lots of places and after sometime we have decided to look in Ecuador for a future place to live. We think the time is right and the real estate market in Ecuador is looking like a good investment. Cotacachi has about 6,000 people and is famous for their leather market, they even have a street called Leather Street. There are cities very close to Cotacachi that have all the big stores and they can be reached in a quick 40 minute drive. We will spend two or three days there.

Day 3 & 4: Heading South back through Quito to the city of Ambato pop. 215,000. This city is known for their flowers. They have a street market where you can buy a big variety of beautiful flowers, We will spend the day there and then off to Banos pop.15,000. The land of waterfalls and mountain biking, Taking a road called "La Ruta de las Cascadas" ( Highway of the waterfalls) from Banos to Puyo. On this road you will find the 8th wonder of the world here a waterfall called Pailon del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron) which is breath taking. You can check this out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgOdywQGDRo&feature=related. We will stay at www.hostel-banos-pequenoparaiso.com for a day to unwind and relax, and then off to Cuenca.

Day 5: Cuenca pop. 420,000. After Quito, Cuenca is Ecuador's most important and beautiful colonial city. This is our second choice for a home or condo. We have heard a lot of good things about Cuenca and plan to check it out. This will be as far south as we will travel. We will be heading back North after a day or so. Most likely to the coast and then North to Quito for our flight home. We will be taking videos and lots of pictures so come back and check this blog again after Nov. 20 and see what we have found on our trip to Ecuador.
